Have your kids ever decided on a Halloween costume, yet you couldn’t find exactly what you needed to finalize the costume?  My daughter wants to be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz this year.  Of course, I can’t find sparkly red shoes ANYWHERE.  I decided to take matters into my own hands, which I often do!  I thought to myself, “How hard can it be to put glitter on a pair of shoes and create my own Ruby Red Slippers?”  I found it to be VERY simple!!!

Start with a pair of shoes.  I used some that were quite beat up and ready for the garbage.  Spread Tacky Glue over the shoes, using a disposable paint brush.  I applied the glue to small areas at a time.

Sprinkle red glitter over the glue area and shake off the excess.  TA DA…you have your very own Ruby Red Slippers for Halloween!
